You can set up a sit on smugmug.com and sell prints directly from the site. They handle the printing and you can set your own price.

Yes indeed, I also do not trust the Alexa algorithm. I think that they do not reflect the real situation of the website. And I see that you post not very often, which is not good.

Yep Will, I am selling that one, sometimes I can predict that in spring I’ll sell lots of colorful images, in the cooler months, landscapes almost meet the sales that I do in spring. As for the *interesting* stuff, it is hit-or-miss, new stuff gets good results, but they never have a long sell-cycle. I am actually finding garage space to restore that truck.

Hey sport, as a shooter, I can say that selling for stock is really the only way unless you get an account at say an art site like http://www.deviantArt.com site and sell mousepades, mugs, enlargements etc, a little different than cafepress, but I have made a few bucks over the years “passively” on dA.

Truth be told it is an uphill battle. If you have cute puppies and stuff, a postcard app with micropayments of like $0.25 could be beneficial

I’d be interested in learning more about your experiences with the stock sites and, of course, having a look at some of your work.

Stock photography isn’t something I’ve particularly pursued after reading about the type of stuff istockphoto are after.

I agree, it certainly sounds like a good way to earn passively, though.

Well its simple, sign up to Istockphoto, Photoexpert or any other stock selling site and load all your photographs. Also go and have a look at which pictures are most popular and go and take those pictures. I have made quite a bit off my photography and they do all the work for you and you continue to make money, its awesome.
