Earning money for sponsored blog posts is one of those types of income that I will not readily consider chasing. The main reason for this is because I don’t want to take on something with earnings that are restricted by my time. Blog posts take time to write and PPP only pays once per post so you have to stay on that hamster wheel to make any decent amount of money.
Being paid per post seems to me, too much like a job; you write, you get paid, you don’t write, you don’t get paid.
The Internet is an ideal vehicle for passive income. Why turn it into a cubicle?

Good. I’m sick and tired of reading other blogs posts just to find out that it’s a Payperpost effort. I’ve decided to remove all blogs that use PPP from both my blogroll and my reading list.
I guess more and more people will follow Gary and would rather subscribe to RSS feeds than visiting blogs. There is a new wordpress hack in the market called feedvertising. It may be a good idea for those who wish to monetize their blog feeds. And it is just set and forget technology, so it’s not like a job. I feel, it may work well for big sites which have a large number of subscribers to their feed.
I found your point of view very interesting. In a world full of automated posts and rehashed articles, I commend a bold well written post. Where can I read more of your writing or similar articles?
What an interesting piece of spam! Where can you read more of my writing? Umm, try my blog. I’ve got the URL somewhere around here…
I’ve just done my first pay per post article and after reading this post it maybe my last. I don’t think I had thought the whole idea through before starting, I’ve been so keen to make money from my blog that I’ve just signed up to do everything. You’re right it is too much like a job and I already have one of those. Gray is also right in that these pay per post may start putting off the few regular readers I already have. Thanks for pointing out the error of my ways.
Cheers
Martin
PS. If you would like to exchange links with me let me know and I will put a link to your blog on mine.
Hi Martin,
Thanks for your comments. PPP seems to be a bit of a hot potato for some people and although I wouldn’t get involved, I can appreciate the attraction. If you’re already blogging, but only just starting trying to make money online it can seem like an easy way to earn a few dollars.
By the way, you already have a link from my blog to yours!
