You can’t help but notice something very big going on online especially when it involves over 90 million people around the world and is regularly in the news.
MySpace isn’t just big. It’s HUGE! Popular too… From the biggest names in popular music today to your neighbours kids, almost everyone over the age of 6 has either heard of MySpace or has already registered their own virtual presence on the social network.
And now the Internet marketing brigade are setting their sites on having a base camp well behind the front lines.
As a relatively ‘old’ person (I’m at the lower end of 30+), my experience so far with MySpace has been minimal as I’ve had other much more important things to do… Sure, I’d set-up a profile, but until tonight I hadn’t really considered what I’d do with it. That was until people started to report making a nice, regular income from it. Now, I’m paying attention.
After having been inspired by a number of recent reports, my inertia about doing something for commerial gain on MySpace has been overcome.
After a couple of hours of reading and exploring MySpace, I kickstarted my copy of Adder Robot (AR) and navigated to an appropriate profile… Then AR crashed. I tried again several times, but each time the application would crash.
Seems the problem is actually with Internet Explorer as AR makes use of the Windows web browser in order to do what it does. When I tried to visit the same MySpace profile that caused AR to crash, Internet Explorer (IE) would crash also. Visiting the same profiles in Firefox caused no problem, but with AR being dependent upon IE there’s not really much I can do except flag it with AR support.
Hopefully, this issue will be sorted out before long and I’ll be able to tell you about how I get on.

What URL did it crash on? Ive been using Adder Robot for a couple months now and its great, they constantly update and Im sure your problem will get fixed!
Good luck!
Thanks, Jeff. I actually tried several profiles all with the same result. Visiting those same profiles on another computer and using IE worked fine.
Next I tried switching off most of the multimedia options in IE and that did the trick. IE was now able to successfully load all the profiles I tried.
After that, I fired up Adder Robot again, navigated to a popular profile, started adding friends and then it crashed. Fortunately, someone has just posted a workaround involving turning off the use of Http 1.1 in IE.
I’ve now got AR chugging away in the background, I’ve just hit over 50 friends and I’m waiting for approval of over 300 more!
