Not long after I posted about How To Be A More Profitable Affiliate, Super (with a capital ‘S’) affiliate Rosalind Gardner commented on some recent changes in the world of Google AdWords.
One thing that’s currently getting my goat is the number of useless affiliates who seem to think that posting affiliate links and regurgitating some sales copy is enough to generate sales.
I’ve learnt from my own experience that this simply isn’t the case and now that my free time is ever more scarce, I find I have very little time and willing to dig deeper into affiliate pre-sell.
However, when I find an affiliate promoting a product and adding some value over what the merchant offers, I’m more inclined to stop and take notice.
These are the useful affiliates who offer their own unique value to an offer and are ultimately more successful. It takes more work to be a great affiliate, but then how else do you stand apart from every other affiliate promoting the same products?

If there’s one thing that makes a newsletter stand out in my inbox it’s seeing my name in the subject.
Of all the emails I receive, it’s only the ones from Internet marketers that try to personalise in such a way.
I can understand why list owners would want to do this, in order to increase the likelihood of their emails being read, but when they’re writing to other Internet marketers is it still an effective technique to use?
Do personalised emails with your name in the subject line get past your psychological defences?

I recently posted a project on ScriptLance for a handful of articles to be written on a specific topic. The project description wasn’t overly demanding, but it did state that good spelling and grammar would be required and that samples of past work would be advantageous.

Temperatures across the UK soared to their highest in almost 100 years. Working in the heat was becoming so uncomfortable that I visited a couple of home electrical stores to buy an air conditioning unit only to find empty shelves.
