Get Free Links By Commenting On Other People’s Articles

May 1st, 2006

EzineArticles.com recently switched off their requirement for registration-for-commenting on articles and replaced it with a CAPTCHA system in order to ward off any automated commenting bots.

Manual spammers might be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of obtaining high PR backlinks just by expressing an opinion on someone elses work, but there is still a review team to moderate comments so those backlinks are still going to have to be earnt. Unlike articles, the comments won’t be syndicated so for a variety of links it’s still going to be worthwhile submitting those articles.

It’s worth noting that any links in comments will be tagged with rel=nofollow until the level of comments hits 2,000 per month.
