How much truth there is to it, I really couldn't say. A lot of people seem to place a lot of emphasis on Page Rank, but unless it affects your bottom line then what's it doing for you? So if your site is growing its content then your PR could plummit, joy... Another your damned if you do and your damned if you don't. They wan't new content but penalise you when you publish it.
