Well, the next Google PR Update will be around 15th August 2006. So it is better to start building your links. We recommene the following service for inexpensive manual link submission

Interesting article, thanks for sharing.

How much truth there is to it, I really couldn't say.

A lot of people seem to place a lot of emphasis on Page Rank, but unless it affects your bottom line then what's it doing for you?

Much about Google Page Rank is out of our control anyway so why not spend that energy on something positive? :)

I have notice that the updates are becoming more of a guess than a defined date.

I became most worried when my PR went from 2 to 0 over night and have no idea when I will it move again.

Just prior to this posting I read an article which suggests that by adding new pages that link to your popular pages you can force down the PR on these pages. So if your site is growing its content then your PR could plummit, joy...

Another your damned if you do and your damned if you don't.

They wan't new content but penalise you when you publish it.

Page Rank tools ought to get their data directly from source i.e. from Google. How often Google updates the publicly viewable Page Rank values is up to Google. It was approximately every 3 months, but that trend seems to have been broken with this latest (or rather lack of an) update.

The tools great but really how often do they update the PR values.

I hear stories ranging from daily to every 6 months. This is not much help to the owner of a web site not knowing. It would be far to easy to be taken in by soemwhat dubious SEO companies.

Any diffinitive answers ?
