The Internet marketing world seems to be whipping itself up into a private label rights (PLR) frenzy at the moment with both products and articles being the most popular offerings. The big selling point is the transfer of ownership to the buyer of PLR products so they’re able to treat them as their own. The downside is that there is usually some amount of effort required from the buyer to make the products unique before releasing them to the public.
If you subscribe to the theory of duplicate content penalty then you probably wouldn’t want to depend too heavily on PLR articles that you haven’t rewritten in some way.
